Connect BulkSMSBD for order SMS

What it is#

BulkSMSBD (bulksmsbd.net) is a Bangladesh bulk SMS service. Once you connect it, Jukto sends your order texts through your own BulkSMSBD account and balance.

What you need#

• A BulkSMSBD account with some balance.
• Your API key.
• An approved Sender ID: a masking name (up to 11 characters, Bangla messages only) or your non-masking number. It is required.

Where to find your keys#

   Sign in to BulkSMSBD

   Open your dashboard at bulksmsbd.net and find your API key there.

   Copy the API key

   Copy it. You paste it into the API key field in Jukto.

   Get a Sender ID

   Use the approved masking name or your non-masking number. A new masking name needs approval from BulkSMSBD first; look for the sender ID section of your dashboard.

   Check the address list

   In the dashboard open Phonebook > IP White List and either add the Jukto server address or turn source IP checking off.

What Jukto does#

• Your key is stored encrypted for this website only. After saving, only the last four characters are shown.
• Test connection reads your BulkSMSBD balance. It sends no text.
• The Sender ID is saved as a setting. If it has Bangla text, Jukto sends the message in unicode mode.
• When it is on, every order event you switched on sends one text to the buyer's mobile number. Numbers written as 01..., +8801... or 8801... are accepted; anything else is not sent.
• The text is paid from your own BulkSMSBD balance.
• Demo orders, POS orders and imported orders never send a text.
• Each text appears in the SMS list on the order page as Waiting, Sent or Failed, with a Resend button. The log keeps only the last four digits of the number and the length of the text, never the text itself.
• If the gateway says a second try may work (it could not be reached, or it had a problem on its side), Jukto tries again, up to three times in all.

Test and turn on#

   Open the provider page

   Go to Tools, open Integrations, choose SMS, then BulkSMSBD and press Set up (it says Manage once you have started).

   Fill in the fields and save

   Paste each value into the field with the same name, then press Save. A secret value is stored encrypted, and afterwards only its last four characters are shown.

   Test the connection

   Press Test connection. Jukto asks BulkSMSBD whether the saved values work and shows whether it worked and, if not, what BulkSMSBD answered. The test uses the saved values, so save first.

   Choose the order texts

   In Order SMS on the same page pick the language of the texts, switch each event on or off, edit the wording if you like and press Save. See SMS gateways for the events and the words you can insert.

   Turn on

   Press Turn on. Until then your website does not use it. Turn off stops it again and your saved values stay.

   Send a test SMS to yourself

   Press Send a test SMS to my number. The text goes to the mobile number of the owner. You can send up to 5 a day, and it appears in the activity log below once it is sent.
