SSLCommerz: cards and mobile banking at checkout
Connect SSLCommerz so buyers can pay by card, mobile banking or internet banking. Keys, test, notification address, refunds and common errors.
Connect SSLCommerz in about ten minutes once you have your Store ID and Store password.
What it is#
SSLCommerz is a payment gateway with a hosted payment page. At checkout the buyer goes to the SSLCommerz page and pays by card, mobile banking or internet banking, then comes back to your store. It suits shops that want many payment methods behind one account.
What you need#
- An SSLCommerz merchant account for Live. For testing, a sandbox store from the SSLCommerz developer site.
- Two values, which you paste into Jukto:
| Field in Jukto | What it is |
|---|---|
| Store ID | The store identifier SSLCommerz gave you |
| Store password | The password of that store (a secret, never shown again after you save) |
Where to find your keys#
- 1
To test first, make a sandbox store
On the SSLCommerz developer site (developer.sslcommerz.com) create a sandbox store. It gives you a sandbox Store ID and Store password. SSLCommerz also lists a shared public test store in its developer pages, but your own sandbox store is the better test.
- 2
For real payments, use your merchant panel
Sign in to your SSLCommerz merchant panel. Your live Store ID and Store password were sent by SSLCommerz when your account was approved. If you cannot find them, ask SSLCommerz support.
- 3
Copy the two values
Copy the Store ID and the Store password. Do not mix a sandbox value with a live value.
What Jukto does#
- Keys. Saved encrypted for this website only. The password is never shown again.
- Payment. Jukto opens a payment session with SSLCommerz and sends the buyer to the SSLCommerz page. SSLCommerz accepts amounts from 10 to 500,000 BDT.
- Notification (IPN). Jukto sends its own notification address to SSLCommerz with every payment, so you do not have to register it. If you want, you can still paste it in your SSLCommerz panel under My Store > IPN Settings. The address is shown on the provider page under Addresses to register at the provider.
- Verification. When the buyer returns, or when the notice arrives, Jukto asks SSLCommerz's validation service directly and compares the transaction and the amount. Only then is the order marked paid.
- Risk hold. If SSLCommerz holds a payment for its own risk review, the payment stays waiting ("paid, held by SSLCommerz risk review") and the order is not marked paid until it is released.
- Order. On success the payment shows Paid in the Payments list of the provider page and in the order, with the reference and the fee when SSLCommerz reports one.
- Refunds. You can refund from the order. For live refunds SSLCommerz wants the public IP address of the Jukto server registered on your merchant account. Ask SSLCommerz support to register it.
