Order SMS and email
Tell buyers when their order is placed, confirmed, shipped, delivered or cancelled, by SMS and by email, in English or Bangla.
Order messages go out at each step of an order from your own SMS or email provider account. Until you turn a provider on, buyers receive nothing.
The five events#
| Event | On by default |
|---|---|
| Order placed | Yes |
| Order confirmed | Yes |
| Order shipped | Yes |
| Order delivered | No |
| Order cancelled | No |
Order SMS#
- 1
Connect one SMS gateway
Open Tools > Integrations > SMS and fill in the gateway's settings. Only one SMS gateway is on at a time; turning another on turns the current one off.
- 2
Open the Order SMS panel on that gateway page
Choose the Language of the texts. English is one segment and cheapest; Bangla is unicode and takes two or three segments.
- 3
Switch each event On or Off
Edit the English and Bangla text. Use the Insert chips for placeholders: buyer name, order number, total, your website name, tracking number, courier name and the order page link. The counter shows characters and segments.
- 4
Press Send a test SMS to my number
Test SMS are limited per day.
- 5
Save
The panel confirms Order SMS settings saved.
Order email#
- 1
Connect Brevo or Resend
Open Tools > Integrations > Email. One of them sends order mail at a time.
- 2
Set the sender
Fill Sender name and Sender email. The address must belong to a domain you verified at your provider, or the provider refuses the mail. Add Reply-to email if you want replies elsewhere.
- 3
Choose the language and events
For each event edit the Subject and Message. The order table and a button to the order page are added below your text.
- 4
Check with Preview and Send test email to me
The test goes to the email on your profile.
Only buyers who gave an email address get email.
See what was sent#
The order page lists the SMS and emails for that order with their state (Waiting, Sent, Failed) and a Resend button.
Common problems#
Buyers get no message.
No provider is on yet, or the event is Off. Turn the gateway or provider on and check the event switches.
The email is refused by the provider.
The sender domain is probably not verified at the provider. The email panel warns when a Resend sending domain is not verified yet.
