Download a CSV#

  1. 1

Open Accounting > Reports and press Open on a report

Choose From and To dates. Some reports also take a party, partner or account.

  2. 2

    Tick the columns

The ticked columns come out in the order shown; use Move up and Move down. Tick all and Untick all help.

  3. 3

    Check the Preview

It shows the first rows and the total row count.

  4. 4

    Press Download CSV

The file opens in Excel and Google Sheets. Money is in taka with two decimals.

  5. 5

    Save the column set

Save these columns with a name, for example "Monthly rent", and use it again next time.

A report can hold up to 20,000 rows.

Import from a spreadsheet#

Use Import to bring in Expenses, Parties (customers and suppliers) or Opening dues. Press Download an example file to see the columns.

  1. 1

    Choose what you are importing

The page shows the exact columns, for example Date, Amount, Category, Account and Note for expenses.

  2. 2

Choose a CSV file, or paste the rows with the header row first

Up to a fixed number of rows per import.

  3. 3

    Press Check first

Nothing is saved yet. Rows with a problem are listed with the row, column and problem; row 1 is the first row under the header.

  4. 4

    Press Import

Good rows are imported and bad rows are skipped. Earlier imports shows the history.

Print slips opens a clean page in a new tab and asks your browser to print; choose "Save as PDF" for a PDF.

  • Daily cash slip: each account's opening, money in, money out and closing for one day, with the cash check if you saved one.
  • Party statement: what one customer or supplier owes, line by line.
  • Profit and loss: the figures of a period.

Common problems#

A report I expect is missing.

Its part is off or you lack the permission. Turn the part on in Accounting settings.

Money looks wrong in Excel.

The CSV writes taka with two decimals. Open it as text/UTF-8 if the symbols look odd.
